VOYEURISM
THE CONTORTION OF LOOKING INWARD
VOYEURISM
THE CONTORTION OF LOOKING INWARD
My work is about observation of self and of others, seeking the truth and confronting its plea. My relationship with home, Haiti, is one that continues to unravel through my art as I grapple with notions of illusion, memory, and identity.
Recently, I've been interested in the gaze and the responses it triggers when confronted by it, interior and exterior spaces, imagined landscapes, and surrealism-which is a movement that remains influential in my work.
I am currently pursuing my education at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) as a painting major.
